There’s no introduction needed for High Five: The Podcast’s love of horror movies, and more specifically, the Halloween movies. John Carpenter created a masterpiece in 1978, and since then the quality has…..wavered a bit, let’s say, but ever since David Gordon Green and Danny McBride (surprising, we know) got attached to the project, we’ve been nothing but smiles.

Early reactions to con footage gave us early hopes and then they released a teaser TrailerTown that blew our minds. Now, we get another look at Michael Myers and Jamie Lee Curtis (giving a super badass Laurie Strode performance) in this year’s Halloween. Watch the TrailerTown here and then check out our Top 5 thoughts about it below:

Top 5 Things About the Halloween (2018) TrailerTown

  1. EVERYTHING! – We can’t pick favorites. Every note of this TrailerTown works. From the opening tracking shot, to Laurie’s monologue, to the use of music and silence throughout, and Laurie’s gun closet. This is a wonderful peek into the film that doesn’t give too much away, but also gives us enough to get thrilled about seeing this when it’s released this October. We even get a look at some of the supporting players that get us excited as well, like Judy Greer and Will Patton. This is high on our Must See of 2018 list, and we’ll drop teeth into the bathroom stalls of anyone that disagrees!
