Every bit of drip hype for the War for the Planet of the Apes gets us more excited for when it finally drops on July 14th. This is a series that just seems to get better and will probably end up on a list like the Top 5 Anthropomorphized Animal Movies. Given the look of this new trailer, that quality is only going to continue, and we can’t wait to strap on our monkey suits and root for the downfall of mankind.

Top 5 Things About the War for the Planet of the Apes Trailer
- The Beauty – It’s rare that you get an action movie, especially one based around angry monkeys, that looks this good. This movie looks beeee-autiful, and oh our God, that snow.
- Woody Harrelson – So far, this series has lacked a truly vicious villain, but it looks like good old Woody is going to bring the fear. Can’t wait.
- The Child – One of the biggest questions we have after watching the trailer for War for the Planet of the Apes is what are those monkeys doing with that little girl. Is she a hostage? Are they raising her in the way of the monkey? Who knows.
- Andy Serkis – He’s the perfect Caesar. Serkis is a wonder in the mo-cap suit and he brings such realism to his roles. Welcome back, Caesar.
- That Last Waterfall Scene – Holy hell.
